In the past few years, I’ve found so much fulfillment in my flower garden. It’s a work in progress (just like the rest of us!), it’s a bit wild and untamed, but it’s been so rewarding to bring it to life.
The yard started as an empty dirt lot filled with weeds. I’m still fighting a battle against the prickliest of the weeds, but flowers have begun to thrive alongside them. With the flowers and shrubs have come birds, butterflies, and sometimes even toads! They are all here in the garden appreciating the same things I am.
This month, the illustrations are inspired by garden visitors & the curiosity they inspire. Your little gift this month is the cute butterfly magnet bookmarks - Mark your place in a book, or use them on the fridge!
It can be hard to fit in time to write letters - maybe you have kids home from school, or vacations planned. Here’s what I’m doing to make sure I keep time in my schedule for snail mail: I’ll make a list of 4 people to write to, gather their mailing addresses, and pre-address & stamp each envelope. Then, I’ll set aside 10-20 minutes per card and make myself a letter writing date on the calendar.
