Happy Summer, Fellow Snail Mail Lovers!
Here we are on the brink of summer. Entering into a new season like summer can sometimes feel jarring - routines shift, days become longer, weather becomes warmer, things grow & change on our streets and in our gardens.
This month, I’d like to encourage you to step back into routines that you find grounding if the things around you become overwhelming.
Keep up your connections with those you care about by sending cards just because, or by writing to catch up with friends after summer vacations. Pour a cup of tea & enjoy the time you can carve out just to write.
This month, strawberries are the theme! They are such a joyful fruit, don’t you think? Simple & sweet.
The tea that is included this month is delicious hot or iced. I enjoy putting a bag or two into a glass jar & setting it out in the sun in the afternoon, and pouring it over ice to drink chilled. Refreshing!
It can be hard to fit in time to write letters - maybe you have kids home from school, or vacations planned. Here’s what I’m doing to make sure I keep time in my schedule for snail mail: I’ll make a list of 4 people to write to, gather their mailing addresses, and pre-address & stamp each envelope. Then, I’ll set aside 10-20 minutes per card and make myself a letter writing date on the calendar.
LINKS & RESOURCES:
In a few weeks, I'm hosting a 5 Day Letter Writing Challenge. I'll keep you updated on the details! It should be a fun way to jumpstart your letter writing habit if it's slipping!
And, if you haven't joined the Snail Mail Enthusiast Facebook Group, I'd love to have you! My hope is that as this group grows, it'll be the perfect place to find a new pen pal, and be a welcoming place to land & chat all things paper and mail.
If you would like to download additional letter writing pages to print at home, here's a link. This is sized to cut in half after you print. Please don't share this downloadable with others, as it is a perk of your subscription. You are welcome to use & print it as many times as you wish.
One last thing - it is SO fun to see where these stationery kits end up & to share in the excitement with one another. If you would take a moment to create a post or story on social media and tag me so I see it, I would be so grateful! (I'm on Instagram & Facebook). Or, share it in the Facebook group linked above!
The teacup sticker included in your package is a way for us all to "have tea together" while we each read and write our letters this month -- a little reminder of how connected we all are.
HAPPY LETTER WRITING!
