Hello, Fellow Snail Mail Lovers!
Writing cards & letters is a simple way to reach out and connect with another person. It’s a gesture that lasts, and has real meaning.
It is my sincere hope that this package is an encouragement to you to connect with those you love.
Each month’s kit has supplies to write 4 cards or letters. Not sure where to begin, or who to write to?
Here’s what I’m doing: I’ll make a list of 4 people to write to, gather their mailing addresses, and pre-address & stamp each envelope. Then, I’ll set aside 10-20 minutes per card and make myself a letter writing date on the calendar.
LINKS & RESOURCES:
This month, I'm hosting a Letter Writing Circle on May 26th at 3:30pm mountain time via Zoom. It'll be a low key way to get together and make time to write a letter or two - and if you're feeling stuck on who to write to, or what to say, I'll help! Click here to add the Letter Writing Circle Event to your Google Calendar
And, if you haven't joined the Snail Mail Enthusiast Facebook Group, I'd love to have you! My hope is that as this group grows, it'll be the perfect place to find a new pen pal, and be a welcoming place to land & chat all things paper and mail.
If you would like to download additional letter writing pages to print at home, here's a link. This is sized to cut in half after you print. Please don't share this downloadable with others, as it is a perk of your subscription. You are welcome to use & print it as many times as you wish.
If you're wondering who to write to this month, here's a short blog post I put together with some ideas.
You may be wondering how to use the washi masking tape in your package this month! I created a blog post here with ideas for decorating your envelopes with washi tape to make them a bit more fun for your recipient.
Speaking of art, the pieces of mini art you received in your packages are all hand stamped by me with blocks that I hand carved. This month, I've been extra inspired by my garden here in the high desert of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Can you see the inspiration?
One last thing - it is SO fun to see where these stationery kits end up & to share in the excitement with one another. If you would take a moment to create a post or story on social media and tag me so I see it, I would be so grateful! (I'm on Instagram & Facebook). Or, share it in the Facebook group linked above!
The teacup sticker included in your package is a way for us all to "have tea together" while we each read and write our letters this month -- a little reminder of how connected we all are.
HAPPY LETTER WRITING!
Jen
