About Jen

I've always been a creative, and I've always enjoyed making things with my hands. I really loved the creative outlet of making things for myself, and occasionally selling them to others at farmers markets and craft fairs. I sewed and sewed and sewed, hunched over a sewing machine to make one of a kind items, and eventually it became very tedious and a bit overwhelming!

I realized that what I really enjoyed about making things and sewing was the process of putting colors and patterns together in a way that I enjoyed and that felt unique to my style. So, I decide to start drawing and designing my own textiles.

I started with simple, colorful illustrations that were based on the nature that surrounds me where I live in the Southwest. I found a drawing style that felt unique to me through practice that blended my love of color, my desert landscape surroundings, my love of nature, along with the influences of my Pennsylvania Dutch and Norwegian heritage.

After a few twists and turns, I worked to develop a cohesive product line of greeting cards, kitchen textiles, zipper pouches, tote bags, and bandanas that all feature the bright, vibrant nature inspired illustrations that I love to create.

As my business and my library of illustrations has expanded, I've added a monthly stationery subscription kit, which has been such a wonderful and unexpected joy to me to create each month.

Jen Fox creates modern illustrations rooted in folk art charm. Jen draws inspiration from the desert landscape and her outdoor adventures, and combines her love of nature with the influences of her Norwegian and Pennsylvania Dutch heritage.
