March was officially the 48th stationery kit I've put together and mailed out into the world! Honestly, I can hardly believe it. It's been four years since I gathered the courage to put this idea out into the universe. It started with 7 monthly subscribers, and there are a couple of you who have been around since the very beginning!
I can't begin to express what this monthly project means to me. I love the challenge of creating something new every month. It gives me some much needed structure, and I love that I get to send dozens of beautiful packages out in the world to you all.
Thank you for joining me in this wonderful ride!!
Each month, I send subscribers a cute little package of stationery. Below is what subscribers received in March! Click here to sign up for a monthly kit.
March 2026, Volume 48
I’ve been enjoying seeking out little snippets of poetry to share with you in these monthly letters. Really, if I’m honest, I’m finding them for myself. This month, by Nikki Giovani:
Word Poem
(Perhaps Worth Considering)
As things be/come
let’s destroy
then we can destroy
what we be/come
let’s build
what we became
when we dream
In so few words, it’s both destruction and a whole new world - beautiful. I am fresh from a whirlwind weekend trip to the Grand Canyon. I spent a day hiking down to the deep muddy green Colorado River, stayed overnight at Phantom Ranch at the bottom, and hiked back out the next day (our route out took us about 13 miles with 6,000 ft of elevation gain!). Have you been there? Away from the temptations of a Google search, my friends and I wondered aloud about the geological events that led to the formation of the canyon, the unfathomable length of time the river has been carving away at the stone walls, and all of the people who have traversed this place before us and will do so after us. Being in a place like the Grand Canyon, it’s easy to see how chipping away at something over time can create something spectacularly beautiful.
I returned after only 4 days away to find that spring had sprung in Albuquerque - tiny flowers on my apricot tree (that has yet to produce any fruit) and delicate leaves forming at the base of perennials in my flower garden. I’m looking forward to taking my coffee in the garden and seeing all of the tiny changes that happen each day, which added all together create a garden in full bloom.
I hope that you find yourself somewhere beautiful today, in spirit or in body, and that you can share that with someone you love via a handwritten note.
Happy Spring!
Jen
