I am so thrilled to share two new linen tea towels that I'm introducing just in time for gift-giving season! It's funny, every time I create a new design it's like an identity crisis -- will my customers resonate with this? Will it look good in a kitchen? Are the colors ones that people will gravitate towards? Does it fit within the style of my other current towels and designs? Did I order enough, or too much??

These two new designs aren't ENTIRELY new. You've seen versions of this pair of sandhill cranes in a greeting card, sticker, and in my fabric collection with Hip Stitch. I also have a different version of a tea towel which has been a customer favorite for many years. Sandhill cranes are just such magnetic creatures and I know you love them, too!

Here's the first towel that's launching very soon:

The second towel is just SO New Mexico. This one was really fun for me to create. I used illustrations I had created in the past of a roadrunner (find it on a greeting card, bumper sticker, packable nylon tote bag, note card sets, and sticker) and added some simple white illustrations of snakes, moons, and flowers. Of course, I couldn't resist adding a few prickly pear cactus illustrations to the mix!

When I was working on this design, I hemmed and hawed about what the background color should be. I asked you all on instagram and on my email list what the color should be, and this yellow was the resounding winner! As some said, it looks like the desert sand, so I suppose it's fitting.

Both of these new linen towels just arrived into my studio, and I'm busy unpacking them and adding them to the shop. Check back soon! In the meantime, check out my other linen tea towel designs here.
